I concentrated on surviving. I could not afford to chase after it.

Hurricane repair work for someone who has posted here. Did it at my cost trying to be nice. They never paid the invoice but did buy a new truck shortly after.

Some dude sold me some Sudafed when I was 14 and told me they were pain pills. Then he sold me some oregano that was weed.
Wow how the world has changed. This dude handed me these out of his pocket and I just took them with a beer. No thought whatsoever. fricking moron.

I was young and dumb and bought a rainbow vacuum. Still pisses me off to this day how dumb I was.

I trusted the wrong guy and partnered with him in two businesses.
Lost 6 figures with the first one
Buying him out of the second one
I’ll never go into business with another soul for the rest of my days.

Take in laundry before you take in partners.
You know that now...

This past May. Bought a brand new Toyota tundra 1794 edition for 75k. It is the biggest hunk of shite.
It’s not possible to buy a vehicle right now and not be ripped off.
Rediculous pricing, poor reliability due to cafe related changes to the drivetrain and crazy financing terms.
You weren’t ripped off by Toyota, you were ripped off the minute you needed a replacement vehicle.

Was it a can short? Or one of those empty cans?

I don't think you understand what the word ripped off means. If the price was advertised then you weren't ripped off.

I bought a super sack full of used duck decoys once. All of the decoys at the bottom of the bag were either cracked or shot to pieces.

My ticket for 1/9/12.
Glad we had 2019 to erase that.

Everyone knows not to buy one with the new engine. 2021 and earlier are fine.

Bought a 70 Cuda convertible back in the 90s that was sold as numbers matching. Turned out to be a rebodied car. Had to get a lawyer to get my deposit back. I was only out the lawyers fee but it could have been much worse if I had paid for it up front.

Had a job offer several years back while i was working at a CPA firm. Paid over 25k more than what I was earning at the time. I told the main partner at the firm as he and I were close. He said not to take the job and that he would take care of me. Fast forward to midway through the tax season and I still hadnt gotten my pay increase. Asked about it and one of the other managing partners pulled me into the office to tell me he had increased my pay by 2k. I said, per month? He said total.
Like, frick you man. I just turned down a job that paid 25k more and you give me lunch money for the year? I dont think so. Soft quit that job for two years then started my own company. Been smooth sailing ever since
Never knew how fun getting paid to watch movies was until then

Owed back taxes. Probably around $15-20k. Paid a local law firm to help with said back taxes as advertised. Noticed it was taking a while, and they kept asking for more information and documents
Must've paid a couple of thousand before I finally up a called the IRS and got on a payment plan with them.
That's all I had to do. Never had a tax issue before and was too pussy to call the IRS.
