Truth is they are hard working, constantly looking for cheaper prices, and attempts to only do business with Indian owned companies (with each other) when possible.

I can't speak for all, but the Indians I have worked with were westernized through colonization with the brits.

they aren't afraid to pile up in one place. all work their asses off, pile up a ton of cash, and then take a loan out on a hotel. they work as a unit, regardless of the venture.

I would say hard work. The two ethnic groups of fellow physicians that I know that are the hardest workers are Indians and Greeks. I've seen those two groups work just insane hours - and they demand that their kids do the same in school

All of our IT consultants are Indian. We fired our IT department and handed it off to IBM (India). They may be great at programming and probably get paid a lot, but the guys I deal with are impossible to understand. I am on the steering committee of a $100M IT project and deal with this daily. The communication problem makes progress difficult. Huge company.

Yes, they are all sacred of their dads. I met my best friend ever in the 5th grade. He was born in Madras and moved here with his parents in 1975 when he was five. Victors dad was the most authoritarian dad I have ever known and he could unleash the wrath of hell when upset and he was a Baptist Pastor. He converted to Christianity in India and met Vic's mom who was of a very high caste system. Her family disowned her due to their getting married.
Mr Kumar is one of the best men I have ever known but man could he get set off with a quickness. He had me scared at times when he was chastising Vic or his sisters. We lost Vic about 8 years ago to cardiac arrest when we were both 38 but I still visit his parents a few times a year. He has mellowed a great deal with age but when he was in his 40s his switch could flip with a quickness.
