Boyfriend and Girlfriend living together having kids, or husband and wife having kids?

It’s hard to miss the sheer number of young people living together and having kids first before they get married, IF they get married at all, compared to the number of those waiting to get married to have kids.

So, what is the norm these days amongst young people would you say? Kids first, then marriage, or marriage then kids?

I'd like to see this broken down by race and ethnicity.

Sounds like you need to make friends that don't live in trailer parks.

People who regularly have kids without getting married are either

1) Poor and trashy
2) Quite wealthy and potentially famous

Everyone in between gets married first

Dad buys house and puts it in his mommas name. Claims he is homeless. Babymomma "rents" house from the gmaw (gov't pays for that) Gmaw gives money back to momma after taking a cut.

Dad claims 1 kid, baby momma claims another, both are on disability. They all live together, and we pay for it.

Our society has become a trailer park from my perspective.

That being said, things have drastically changed since I was their age.

This reminds me, I need to update my cover photo to my new lifted F250, take a selfie while driving, and send my child support payments for Brayleigh and Daxston.

As long as both birth parents are at home, the child has a good chance. A piece of paper isn't going to raise the kids

I'm not sure I wanna get married, but I definitely want kids. If I did get married, it would be because of kids

Honest question, What difference does it make?

Me personally I live my life for me and with the intention of not harming other people. I don't concern myself with how others are living their lives if it does not directly harm me. Regardless of whether or not I agree with their live choices.

are two very different things.

It seems that the older generations are still spewing the "living in sin" bullshite. My wife and I lived together before we got married (but had been together for 7 years) because it's financially beneficial to not pay two rents when you are on entry level salaries. Plus you learn more about the other person living together.

Now having kids before you are married is definitely trashy. Especially with how readily available birth-control is these days, it's not hard to not get pregnant.

40% of children are born out of wedlock. So it would seem to me most people get married first.

KEARNEY: The 40 percent masks really high rates in particular groups. 71 percent of births to African-American mothers now are outside of marriage. 71 percent of births to women under the age of 25 are outside of marriage.
