i was teaching a couple of friends how to play euchre, which is a trick taking card game very popular in the midwest. it utilizes bowers, meaning the jacks of the color of trump are the 2 best cards.
Are you really explaining euchre to a message board based out of Louisiana

My 3 year old was eating a corndog. Our beagle, jumped up and grabbed it out of her hand. He swallowed it whole, stick and all. 3 weeks later, on a Sunday morning, the stick came out. Straight as an arrow. He made a shitekabob. I took pictures and put a dollar bill next to it for reference. The veterinarian told me that was one of the wildest things he had seen.

I went to the Coushatta DMV and both employees there were exceedingly nice and helpful.

I actually tell people here to go to Coushatta. It is the best DMV office in the state.

when I lived in Lafayette their DMV was as bad as Shreveport's, I discovered the Breaux Bridge DMV, never waited and the people were as friendly as could be

I was there when the Steamboat Geyser, in Yellowstone park, erupted in 2013. It was dormant for 6 1/2 yrs. prior to that.

May 28, 1995, I saw Greg Maddux carry a perfect game into the 8th inning until he gave up a solo HR to Jeff Bagwell. That was the only hit Maddux gave up.

Maddux went on to give up one walk in the 9th but pitched a complete game 1 hitter.

Braves won 3-1.

I think it was in 96 I went to the second to last game ever played at Fulton County Stadium. Splurged on good seats behind the third base dugout. Fred Mcgriff went yard twice.

I saw two male great horned owls fight it out over a female in a tree in my back yard. Witnessed it all while enjoying some scotch and a cigar. Heard the female and the male, who I often saw in the backyard, cooing at each other. Then heard the interloper hooting , at first from far away and then coming closer and closer. Then the interloper swoops in to where the resident male was and they went at it. Fast and furious for a few seconds, then the resident male chased him off. You could hear them squawking as he chased him. Then he flew back and settled in next to his sweetie.

while it may have been introduced in louisiana, it's certainly not THAT popular of a card game, especially in the south where most posters are from. just giving background info for those who are not familiar, not meant to insult any specific groups.

it's not "royal flush in poker" levels of explicit, so context helps with the story.

Both of my kids were born on Ash Wednesday, three years apart.

ETA: It wasn’t planned. Also, not so subtle “I had sex twice” brag.
