I’m against all weapon bans, but if you are going to argue for one why not ban handguns?
Handguns kill many more people every year. I mean, your argument is that the type of gun is responsible for the kills right?

If this were about saving lives we would first:
Ban Using a cell phone in a vehicle
Make vehicles inoperable without a buckled seat belt
Blow-to-start in all vehicles
Allow stop and frisk in the hood
Implement those and reassess in a couple years.
