Why didn't our founding fathers include the right to bear arms and artillery in the 2nd Amendment? Was it just an oversight by leaving out artillery?

If we have to over throw the government, no amount of assault rifles and guns in the arms of citizens will protect us. We aren’t a third world country and this isn’t the 1700s. A war with the people and the government will be by cyber warfare.

since you are obviously a constitutional scholar, what does 2A address?

FROM THIS SAME THREAD....

"To prevent a Tyrannical Government from taking power from the people."
"to fight back against a corrupt government."
"to keep potential government tyranny at bay."
" keeping oppressive regimes at bay"
"If the government goes tyrannical and the citizenry needs to fight back."

and thats just from the first couple pages.

What makes you think artillery is not included in the 2nd amendment?

I did not ask for a thread recap.

Since you are so quick to address what 2A doesn't address, you should be able to explain its full scope to those of us that don't.

The military trained me on the M-16 and M-4 to shoot people if necessary. I know those weapons far better than any other. So, just in case I need to shoot someone, I would prefer to do it with something I know like the back of my hand.

Because arms and artillery are two specifically different things.
