There used to be a restaurant attached called the Eaterie. The name turned me off.

Used to hit those sleazy little bars on 4th St. Near Barataria. Meatballs and Spaghetti at Bertucci’s. Launching my little flat boat at the Westwego boat launch and catching a hundred perch.

I have stayed at that holiday inn. Was once a best western. It was loud as hell with the atrium in the middle.

Grew up in Gretna and would lifeguard in westwego at the bayou segnette wave pool growing up. There is nothing more westbank than that place on a Sunday afternoon in July.
