Haugesund in the car phone days, pre cellphone, our country manager parked the van with the windows open in summer. Next to the phone handset on the dash was a small pad for note taking.

Phone rang while we were inside a restaurant, someone on the street answered it and took a note from the caller for us.

In English of course.
Either Sweden or Norway, this doesn’t surprise. Good story though.

I had some clothes washed while staying at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo*.

I had inadvertently left a US nickel in the pocket of a pair of jeans.

Once the laundered clothes were returned to my room, they were neatly folded and placed on the dresser. The nickel was neatly placed in a tiny envelope on top of the jeans with a description of what article it was found in.

*You can buy new clothes for less money than is charged for the laundry service.

I've transferred thru Narita many, many times but never been to Japan. It's on my bucket list. A close friend lived in Tokyo for 3 years, loved the culture and all day business related golf outings. They pickup your clubs at your apartment the day before and deliver to the course. I think an hour train ride out to the country. He mostly walked a mile to the office every day, lost 20 pounds and got fit.

For certain, some places the hotel laundry service is as expensive as buying new clothes. KL and Jakarta, Beijing were cheap, Oslo or London not cheap at all. It was a company perk I took full advantage of on long trips.

Chabill's Tires. Like an OCD mechanic and a fastidious neat freak had a baby. Could eat off the floors.

And my answer would have to be Panmunjom, the border village between North and South Korea on the DMZ. Every movement is planned, deliberate, and done by the book.

I'd have to agree. Even the guys stationed at Camp Bonifas are hand selected.

At least you get to play the most dangerous hole in golf there.

Salt Lake City is up there for me. I'm sure Switzerland and Japan surpass it from what I've heard.

I've been to all 3. Japan has to be #1 of all the places I've ever been to.

HealthSouth’s OR before Scrushy ran the whole thing into the ground.

Lemak and Andrews had that thing humming like a well oiled machine.

If they told you your surgery was at 10 AM, a scalpel was entering your body at 10AM.

I am in the Singapore airport right now, and can confirm.. although i was in the Tokyo airport a couple months ago, and it was neat and orderly as well.. Unfortunately I have not ventured into either country outside of their airports, but if they are as nice and clean as the airports, then i get all the fuss .

As much as I hate those pot smoking hippies, Colorado worked pretty well when I visited. We spent 5 days there and things were nice, then we got back to the airport and some culture girl was talking shite to the gate agent at the airport and I realized we were about to fly back to Atlanta

Everywhere we went there just worked. No shite, no issues.

This would certainly be at or very near the top of list. The organization and cleanliness of that place is off the charts.
