I wonder if there was a cut off on EBT and welfare for having too many kids, if that will stop the poor from popping out more kids to get that govt check. Like you only get food stamps, welfare, etc for only 3 kids. You also get free vasectomies/tube tyings, once you had 2 kids and on walfare/ebt/govt assistance.

My point wasn’t about the Mercedes but about the 12 plus kids

If you have 9 kids in this day and age, you are by definition trashy.

Not necessarily

quote:

I got in an argument like 4 years ago with some dumbass on this board calling the Duggars selfish and morally deficient, and he said let’s come back in a decade and said they’d be more successful than I or anyone calling them out ever was. Well it turns out that the eldest molested 4 of his sisters and their friend. And we haven’t even gotten to the younger ones yet that were more raised on the buddy system.

That's a function of one of the kids being a weirdo, not them having too many kids
quote:

Granted I know I’m arguing largely with a bunch of Catholics who think that every sperm is sacred, but I think in this day and age it is morally wrong to have more than 5 kids. If you can’t fit your family in a Suburban, then you should stop having kids.

I'm atheist and this is stupid

My father is 1 of 12. I have over 50 1st cousins by his side alone. At family reunions we wear name tags with our name and the sibling-you-came-from’s name.

An acquaintance of mine from St. Jospeh’s Academy has 12 (I believe that is the number at last count). Her husband is a successful realtor in the BR area. Both early 40’s. The are nice normal people. Could I do it? Nope. I struggle with three. But to each their own and I think some parents can handle it better than others.

I know you are partly trying to be funny and partly serious so I am taking it with a grain of salt, but there is also a problem with having 1 or 2 kids and giving them so much attention and being up their butt 24/7 that they think the universe revolves around them to the point that they are narcissistic assclowns and also cannot function in society. It works both ways.

My grandfather had 13 brothers and sisters and he had 9 children of his own in a very small town.

I'm probably my own uncle brother.
