New Orleans Axe Man. He actually went into random people's homes and hacked them up. I think most of his victims were Italians, so yeah.

In 1973, when I was in high school, a young, 5-year-old girl by the name of Anna Waters disappeared without a trace in a very rural and sparsely populated area of the county I lived in, just south of San Francisco. Fast forward to 2006. I was assigned her cold case. My partner and I worked the case on and off until we retired.

Had she been swept away in a fast-running creek near her rural home? Was she dragged off by wild animals? Was she abducted by Edmund Kemper or Herbert Mullins, two notorious serial killers working the area at the time? (We interviewed them both, we did not believe they had anything to do with her disappearance.). Had her estranged, biological, schizophrenic father kidnapped her? Would any of the other approximately 150 leads pan out? Would any of the numerous DNA tests conducted in both the USA and Canada lead us to Anna?

Once it was put out in the press that we had reopened the case, we received roughly 4-6 calls every day for about a month and a half, from people claiming to be Anna (DNA test were conducted on all), or people claiming to know who had taken her. We followed up every lead with an interview (If people were still alive or could be found.).

The answer to all was either no, or we don't know. This young girl, within the span of roughly 3-5 minutes, vanished from the face of the earth without a trace. The case remains open.

Just read that one. One guy was totally unhurt but didn't see the guy well enough.

Well, sounds like that guy was the murderer

He stacked them three by three. Two on top of each other with the intention of shooting through the stacks to save ammo.

If they didn't catch the guy, this is just an assumption because...

The attacker fired the gun into the stacks until he ran out of bullets.

I'm thinking it had nothing to do with saving bullets. Sounds like they were dealing with someone that has never killed before, and probably had a vendetta against one of those employees. I mean, that's amateur hour if I've ever seen it. And stabbing so hard that he broke the knife? That's straight up adrenaline and emotion there. Had to be personally motivated.

Did they think Todd Derrick Lee killed her? He worked in concrete slabs for homes and I think they theorized that he put her in a footing before a house was poured.

Like someone here said- what's so creepy about this? It was a bunch of mentally retarded guys out driving. They probably should never been unsupervised.

To the Black community in Monroe... it’s the murder of Dennis Reed in the Pine Bayou/Tanglewood subdivision in 95... He was tortured with a clothing iron and boiling water... killers supposedly came in through roof and waited in attic until he was home alone... all this happened within 1 hour ... money, kilos, and jewelry was left untouched... according to his family the only thing missing was paperwork he kept hidden under dresser in his spare bedroom... it gets crazy because the police responded to the murder before it was even reported... people outside at the time claim the police showed up with the ambulance parked in front of the house for 5 minutes didn’t get out of the car and drove off... his girlfriend drives up 10 minutes later and run outside screaming... police responded 15 minutes later after just being there...

Rumor is the feds had him collecting info on local police and politicians in Ouachita Parish... story gets deeper because people said days later he received a check from CenturyTel for two million dollars... while in route to the bank the feds pulled over his Aunt and girlfriend... search them and took the check

Look up Detroit child killings or something like that. My wife (message for pics) listens to Crime Junkies and we listened to that story last weekend on the way back from the beach house. Truly chilling shite.

The woman who was last seen jogging past Pennington on Perkins. Must’ve been in the late 90’s. Always stuck with me for some reason. Don’t believe they ever found her body.

Anyone else remember that? White lady.

I'm going with "The Zodiac Killings". Never been solved and so old now that it will likely never be solved since most parties involved in the investigation, victims, etc. are old or dead.

Hanging of Raynard Johnson

quote:

When Raynard Johnson was found hanging from a tree, his family refused to accept the verdict: suicide. This was Mississippi, after all, where the rope around a black man's neck still conjures ghosts too ugly to grasp. Then Jesse Jackson arrived—and made sure the ghosts came back to life.

This for me, 100%. Happened in small town in marion county mississippi. Raynard was a classmate, and friend of mine.
