Very beautiful. I lived in Ketchikan Alaska back in the 80's which is basically the same exact landscape. It was the first place that came to mind. But I'd also have to include the South Dakota Badlands....

2 things I unfortunately didn't get to experience in Australia. I'll be back one day and plan on doing both of these. I hear the flies out in the outback are brutal.

Hokkaido Japan-anyone in the world would appreciate the winter scenery.
Sydney-Sydney Harbor is beautiful under a good moon. I dined at a steakhouse directly accross from the Opera House years ago. I'll be taking my next love to that exact spot.
Thailand-heavy culture, entertainment and good weather everywhere
Coastlines of Northern/Southern Cal-I beleive every American should do this
Bahamas-OT says it's trashy but its mellow and scenic as hell
This will be a good year in travel for me. I had heavy plans on a couple if Euro trips but switched focus to the Americas until economies are happy again.
