T-34 was better than anything the Germans had, at least until the Panther.

Wh. The T-34 had a lot of drawbacks. He’s, its armor was good, it was relatively reliable, and had good cross country performance. But its fire control system was rudimentary at best. Once the Wehrmacht introduced the PzKpfw IV Ausf G with the long barrel 7.5 cm gun, the T-34 was at a disadvantage.

Your criteria for “greatest” is irrelevant. I choose the F-14 Tomcat.

Were they the ones introduced in the desert to cut into the Matilda's hide?

Best thing against Allied armor early on was this baby. Memory is foggy if it used APCR like German armor but sliced through most things, long before they could get in range to fire back, like butter.

Lost my dad a few years ago, but I can vividly remember him telling me stories about traversing Vietnam in this vehicle, Duece and a half and the Huey helicopter. Especially in and around the A Shau Valley. Thanks for posting. I hadn’t thought about this since he passed.

Horse, most likely. And if you want something man-made, the jeep was pretty legit.

Best thing that happened to the US Navy was the crippling of the battleship fleet at Pearl Harbor. Ship to ship battles became a thing of the past.

The Enola Gay/B-29 Superfortress Bomber

Changed the outcome of WWII, saved countless American lives, and changed the way the world, politics, and geopolitics worked forever. Fully cemented America as the top military and power in the world, and allowed us to bend other nations to our will
