$5 per month is the norm. The sweetener is letting your account get so delinquent that they cancel you, then call back to demand $5 per month and comp the past 90 unpaid days.

That said, prepare for a call similar to this:

I have no idea what we pay, it’s on auto draft. I know it’s not enough for my wife (no pics) to question it though.

Yeah, you're paying (with taxes) probably around the $25/month range.

This...you really gotta commit to breaking down Rajesh is customer retention, but they are willing to go that low.

You don't even have to do that anymore. Just log in to your account, click cancel, and then they give you the option to re-up at $60/12 months.

I had Sirius and when it was time to renew I got a $600 charge to my credit card for 1 year ($50/month). I called up and they said the promotion I was on ended and I had to go on the regular rate. I told them to cancel my subscription. They tried to make a deal but I was pi$$ed and cancelled anyway.

I bought a new car last year that came with a free 3 month subscription to Sirius XM. They sent me a deal for $18/month including tax & fees for 1 year. I'm paying that now but will probably cancel when the contract ends and they jack up my rate.

Just paid a full year at $9.00 a month. Set my Google Calendar to remind me when its expiring so I can try to lock in the same deal.. If not it will auto renew at $23 a month, and I'm not paying that much for it.

I canceled. The DJs talk too much and much of it is COVID nonsense. Cancel it!

Word from the wise.......never pay full price. Tell them you can't afford it and feed them a line of BS. They will lower the price

I canceled a few months ago. Just got a letter this week with their $4.99/ month for 12 months offer - auto renews at $18, free cancellation anytime.

Did the same thing last and finally renewed at $5/mth for a year. When that expired the cost jumped to $24/mth. But I won’t renew again cause I rarely listened to it and I’m tired of playing that game.

Call or get online and talk to someone. Tell them you want to cancel and they will drop it to 4.99

You don’t even have to speak to anyone anymore. Press the button to cancel and they automatically give you the $5 a month option.

Or do it online.
