I really enjoy the Tampa area.

Southwest has dirt cheap direct flights from MSY.

Spent a weekend of breweries, beaches and Busch Gardens.

Obviously Disney. Go by yourself, according to this board it's the best vacation destination worldwide.

Cape San Blas or Aruba

Speaking of that, any Cigar smokers in the OT ever had an Aruban cigar, anyone want a couple to try? I'll bring some back.

Not in the south, but look up Devil's Thumb Ranch in Tabernash Colorado. The backyard of the 7,000 acre ranch is the Continental Divide.

Wait about three weeks and youll hit peak season for the leaves changing colors.

Vermont/New Hampshire would be good right now too.

For my family it's 30A. I made fun of those families until I went. I lived in Fort Walton while in the military and never understood the fascination with that "boring" area.

We get a house right on the beach and thoroughly enjoy the slow pace. We don't get in our vehicle the entire trip after it's parked on the first day.

Our go to places are Seacrest, Rosemary, and Inlet beaches.
