They didn't start becoming more of an issue in 2016. It happened before that.

Fair enough. But they quite literally elected a socialist into office and did absolutely nothing while he consolidated power around himself. And even after that, it still took about a decade for the whole thing to fall apart.
I’ll join you on the life raft if Bernie Sanders gets elected and proceeds to expropriate businesses, rip up the constitution and disband congress and SCOTUS. Absent that, I think we’re good.

Economical
I think 10 years from now we will be at the start of slowly transitioning into something different in the way things are done that will have an impact on the economy, it will not be something good or bad, it will just change how we do things, but within the next 10 years, I think the economy will do what it always does. There might be a point where there will be a dip in the markets, but then will get back on track.

Socially.
I'll try to keep this short, but in summary, I think this will all depend on how social media and the media in general evolves. We are as divided as we have been in a long time and part of the reason is media and social media. There are institutions in which it is in their best interest for us to divided so the media/social media is used to do that.

Military.
We will stay on pace working to be on the forefront of cutting edge technology, but future wars will not be fought in the traditional way. We are already not fighting them in the traditional way, but I am talking about governments hacking and trying to steal other governments information, etc.

Lost so many values as Americans.
Not many people will agree with this, but I don't really see that America has "lost so many values". I understand why people can feel this way since it is something we hear about more and there are people who think gay marriage is such a horrible thing, but lets look throughout history.
There was a time when people was able to own other people. People were their property.
Husbands were able to rape their wives, there was no law against forcing your wife to have sex with you.
It use to not be illegal for phedephiles to do phedephile things.
There were times when the hanging of people was a social event. People would gather in the streets and pretty much celebrate the event.
There were a lot of things that went on that was not talked about. Just because people didn't hear about things doesn't mean they didn't happen.
The Catholic church use to protect priest accused of molesting kids.
Have our values really changed all that much?

Because eventually you run out of other people's money. Free college, free health care,
That's not how that works also plenty of first world countries run off free healthcare and even free college. This idea that the country will collapse because of adding shite other countries have already implemented is insane.
How about we cut wasteful spending and stop spending a ridiculous amount of money on illegal wars.

Countries smaller than our individual states, and in some cases cities. There is not a country on the planet with effective free healthcare or college anywhere near the US population, much less demographic diversity. Or with unchecked immigration.

While I agree we need out of the middle east, that money is a drop in the bucket compared to what we're discussing with social programs.

Neither of those factors really add much complexity to a single payer healthcare system.

You think there's no difference in free healthcare coverage between two countries who have massive population differences and massive differences in the overall health of the general population? Not to mention the massive expansion of the bureaucracy that will be necessary to administer it, costing even more money?

Surely you don’t actually think the trillions of dollars the democrats want to spend is sustainable.
shite we are doomed
shite we are doomed
Posted on 7/31/19 at 4:49 pm to Centinel
Sure, there are differences. You made it sound like it'd be impossible because of our population and diversity. Those 2 things really aren't that big of a hurdle. Untangling the private health insurance industry and the way healthcare has been delivered here for decades are the big hurdles.

I love when just regular morons post drive by bullshite with no substance or even an attempt to refute any point because they want attention.

True

unchecked immigration.
We certainly don't have unchecked immigration and I have yet to see anyone arguing for such

I wouldn't say that but I do agree before we do anything we need to make sure we stop wasteful spending and spend it on more approite matters.

I mean it'll be more expensive sure but you also have a far larger of people to tax from. I think as long as the taxes don't shoot up to some insane percentage I'm actually fine with free healthcare.
I mean we have people dying because they can't afford the care or people who are able to get the care are being put into massive debt. Now one problem here is how the pharmaceutical companies are jacking up their prices

Race relations
What I find interesting is that those of us who have grown up and lived in areas where populations are 50/50 or maybe even more black than white view race relations so differently than all white or mostly white areas. In my view, for the most part we aren't racist and have lots of very good relationships with those of opposing race....and both have opinions that there are shite head brothers in the hood and redneck meth heads that make up the portion of society that is what is wrong with the country.
The people calling the southeast racist have never lived where it is 50/50...they have no clue

Those who screech loudest about racism tend to live in the whitest communities. It's almost like they're projecting.
