What is the difference between toilet paper and tissue paper?

As I sit here with a role of toilet paper on my desk in place of Kleenex, I have to ask why we need a separate product to wipe our noses when toilet paper works just as well.

Blow your nose hard as hell with a tissue and and it will hold up just fine when toilet paper will not. However, if you try to wipe your arse with a tissue you will end up with shite on your hands.

I can't even use kleenex. shite leaves lint all up in my beard and i need the roughness of a brawny paper towel when I'm blowing my nose.

Tissue paper (originally facial tissue) is manufactured with a smoother surface, so it is less irritating to the nose. Toilet paper dissolves quicker, so it creates less of a problem with masticators in sewage treatment plants.
