Old lady sat two seats beside me at the movies, put her full large popcorn on the seat between us, never touched it, and left as soon as the credits rolled.

I picked up the bucket, dumped the popcorn in the trash, and brought it to the counter for a free refill.

Then walked back in to watch the movie again.

I did the same exact thing but I also took the large drink cup, that had free refills when brought to the counter. Washed them in the sink with hot water and soap.

For a while I checked my power meter daily. If I exceeded the daily allotment, I'd turn everything off that I could (e.g. I couldn't turn the refrigerator off and let what little food there was spoil) and stay there in the dark or light candles.

That’s not cheap. That’s just playing the game.

Steal the giant rolls of toilet paper from bathrooms on campus.

I mean, who hasn’t cleaned out the toilet paper from the campus bathrooms, one building after using its “study hall”, a different hall every night, and had a semester worth of toilet paper in their dorm by the end of the first month?

It was in South Carolina. There was about a year where money was real tight, I kept my power bill below $20/month for that year.

I’ve done that before in college with pizza buffets. Not proud of it, but i got to spend my money on beer/weed and still eat

used to be a lunch buffet in town here that was $4.99 for one plate and $8.99 for all-you-could-eat.

i bought the $4.99 plate and stacked the ribs in a square like lincoln logs and used mashed potatoes for mortar then when it was tall enough filled the middle with the rest of the food on the buffet.

this made the local paper.

Best sandwich on MD's menu. Was better when it had Buffalo sauce on it.

I ate sandwiches made out of canned beans and white bread in college. Also drank a lot of Schaefer beer. Seems like I was the only person cheap enough to drink Schaefer.

I have used Wal Marts return policy against them before with certain items I only needed to use one time. I’d buy it, use it, carefully repackage it, and return it for a refund.

Must be really cheap. I like to think of myself as a budget beer aficionado, and I've never even heard of Schaefer beer.

I am thrifty so I could list many things..

Most recent was flying all over the country because it was cheaper than direct flights between Seattle and Dallas.

Jnu to Seattle
Seattle to LA
LA to Dallas

Dallas to Atlanta
Atlanta to Seattle
Seattle to Juneau.

Worth the money I saved.

Pizza Huts all you can eat salad bar. We would order one, then a large pizza, and pass the one plate for salad around to each person while waiting on the large pizza.
