Foo fighters in 07 at the house of blues is tough to beat

There was some shite I did in the Alps was nice. Venice was cool.

NYC, LA, and Chicago were okay.

Australia was a precursor to beautiful places in New Zealand.

Moab was nice.

Bolivia was a little too much.

I liked Rio though.

Never been to London.

Best view was seeing Trapt at the Varsity

Nothing in my life comes close to when I first stood at the edge of the Grand Canyon and surveyed that with my own eyes for the first time. That place still gets me.

On pg. 5 I mention the same thing. It was stunning to see in person.

This was a picture I took of the Grand Canyon a year or two ago while flying over. I've got boatloads of pictures of cool places I've seen from a cockpit. However, I believe most of them are best viewed from the ground level. I'm seriously jealous of some of the cool pictures that I've seen posted in this thread from the ground view. Wish I had more free time to actually go check these places out.

At first I thought you were flying a P3. But after a little sleuthing, I believe it's a C-130 with the older style prop?

Sports...

Vacations...

Wasatch Range in Utah

Smokies

And I'll never forget seeing Silicon Valley while on approach for landing in San Jose at 9PM PST (after the 4pm last flight out of Orlando to escape an inbound hurricane.) Awesome sight but was jetlagged AF the next morning...criss crossed the country 3 times for that reason in Sept 2004.

Just about any notable earth feature from the air is awesome. Grand Canyon/Rockies/Hoover Dam-wheels down parallel to The Strip in Vegas/Rio Grande taking off from El Paso/Bayou flying in-out MSY/Landing back in Orlando after said hurricanes have caused more and more blue tarps on the roofs. Flying into or out of day snow storms is one of the coolest sights going from that to sun above the clouds.

ETA: Lookout Mountain is pretty amazing as well.

Best view? Great question and I have a definitive answer. From Zermatt, Switzerland we took the cable car to the upper levels of the Klein Matterhorn which is the mountain next to and overlooking the Matterhorn. We went to the top where there was a blizzard going on. When we went to the next level down the skies had cleared and we were looking at the Matterhorn on one side, the town of Zermatt far below on the other and we were looking DOWN in all directions at the snow covered Alps. That was the most spectacular view I have ever seen.

Thats the one. It's an H model to be specific. The P3 has upside down engines with the intakes on top. If you ask a P3 guy, I'm sure they would say C-130 engines are upside down.

Driving from Calgary to Vancouver. Seeing the Canadian Rockies rise in the distance above the open prairie was an experience I'll never forget.

This thread has had some awesome pictures posted and makes me want to book a new trip. To some of the people describing these places but not posting pics, if you have pictures of these views post them, I would love to see them.
