I bought some from TireBuyer. They had the tires shipped directly to the facility I was going to have them put on, and I just called to setup the appointment. It was stupid easy.

I shopped around for my last set and Amazon was cheapest for the tire I wanted. Had them mounted and balanced in Baton Rouge for $20 per tire I think.

Most local places will match anything you can find online. If you are going to get them installed somewhere anyway, give them first shot at matching the price, especially if it's a local business.

the only problem is their is definitive tax savings. My tax and price savings has usually been more than the cost of installation so i've usually saved over $100 plus each time i've done it.

You just saved me about 100 bucks. Was about to buy some from discount tire direct. Tirebuyer had the same tires for 100 cheaper shipped to the tire place down my street. Thanks baw.

What's the advantage of buying tires online? If you say price, is it worth the hassle of mounting the tires yourself?

Link to what?

Discount tire direct was about 590 for General Grabber AT 2's in 265/70/17

Tirebuyer was 520.

So more like 70 bucks in savings.
