My mom has found some relief from nerve damage pain taking gummies that have indica and CBD combo.

indica - relaxing high that relieves stress and aches and pains as well give you the munchies and helps you sleep
sativa - a more upbeat high that puts you in a good mood and gives you energy and helps you get things done. does not give the pain relief or munchies like indica does.

The best I found for pain was Black Jack a descendant of the original Jack Herer variety. It knocks me for a loop though as a daily pot user so your mom would be hallucinating.
Her tolerance will build with use but takes time.

Instead of turning to street narcotics made in a bathtub why don’t you get some safe medicine from a doctor for pain? My cousin has been on oxycotton for years for his fibromyalgia and it works like a charm
