Possibly, but I'm sure the fact that I'm perusing TigerDroppings and not talking to her is the main culprit.

I think the consensus is the internet. Second place would be the microchip/microprocessor I suppose? I think I'm going to make a spinoff thread on the tech board.

Yeti, and it's not even close. It's single handedly rewritten the laws of thermal dynamics.

If I were to hit the lotto, I'd buy a few dozen truck nuts, and put them on random hybrids, sports cars, and other vehicles.

It's the internet. The world would be significantly different if it was never invented.

All of these are great.

Air Conditioning
MicroChip/Personal Computer/Internet
Remote Control
All great and serious answers.

I like some of the other answers (non-serious), but in my opinion its BABY WIPES.
If you don't know what I'm talking about . . . . . your welcome.

Pretty sure the microchip is just outside the window of 50 years.

The first use of the term "microprocessor" is attributed to Viatron Computer Systems describing the custom integrated circuit used in their System 21 small computer system announced in 1968.

Looks like i was wrong by 3 years.
