What is the age of the oldest person you know who had to start all over?

i'm thinking this could be caused by all sorts of things
business failings, bankruptcy, really nasty divorce, a gambling habit (or a spouse with one), drugs, criminal conviction, etc.
i'm watching a documentary on scientists who are trying to stop/reverse the aging process and it has my mind really going about our lifetimes and it made me think about this (if we live forever this problem isn't really a big problem)

I knew an Irishman who gambled away his pension. He was 43. But those were metric years.

Know a guy who is 60, successful home builder. Has a weakness for women, and has been married 7 times. Has lost most of his money due to divorce.

I know about a dozen who lost literally every dollar they had, with small exception, in the Stanford Group scheme. All of them were in there late 60's early 70's and all are still working and struggling.
Eta: All we're retired and now most have jobs again. And all were very well off prior, not pension funds. I'm sure the guaranteed 10% certificate of deposit and the money offshore played into it. As in hide it from the government.

My aunt. I won't give away too much. The frickhead she was married to decided he wanted to cheat on her. She was the reason his business was so successful. She divorced him, got half his shite, opened up a similar business, and broke his arse. Justice was served.

i've heard you say this before
when i watch hunting shows that have episodes in alaska, i often think about that....esp as a "well if i frick up my life, i guess i can go there" thing
