As an Atheist, this. My wife is a lukewarm Christian nad her parents are in church every Sunday and Wednesday along with "study groups" and this is the label that we use for me to satisfy them.

It can mean they believe in a higher power and try to practice living in accordance with higher principles rather than just surface level worldly principles but also don’t feel the need to attend religious observances.

It’s something people say to make themselves feel/sound deep. It’s generally meaningless.

I consider myself non religion/spiritual. Something somewhere somehow created this place. I appreciate that thing because when you truly look how life has evolved it’s amazing. Whatever created this we cannot fathom, we can only be grateful/thankful. Religion is ok I guess. Until they kill in the the name of their god or whatever.

it's nothing like that

It can have several different meanings. It mainly has to do with nature and/or interconnectivity, but sometimes it's used by new agers as well. At the least, it's the acceptance of some kind of metaphysical connection to others, nature or some cosmic being

Mostly snowflake stuff for those that don't know what the hell they believe, but are afraid to say they don't believe in Jesus.

Spirituality means different things to different people but most will agree that it is getting in touch with your inner soul and living life right and to help the people around you because we are all on this space ship together. You dig? Now quit bogartin and pass me that J bird.

Wrong. But you probably get your news from Alex Jones.

It means you believe in a higher power but don't subscribe to any of the man-made religions

Religion has rules, and steps. Spirituality usually doesn't involve those.
