Not much, actually.

I work for a defense contractor and we typically have to "buy American". And we always have to sign a statement that we won't use any Chinese made communication items.

Most people are more than willing to give up personal liberties under the guise of safety.

Also, we are entirely too reliant on overseas manufacturing.

I despise my job, like the people I work with, and hate the owner and half of the essential personnel in other departments.

At the end of this, they will all be getting a great big frick you as I take a few months off.

Back in the day when I worked offshore and brought a Chinese shackle out, a rig hand tossed it overboard and handed me an USA model. He said buy American, don't trust a load over your head to Chinese sh**
On what Ive learned - I can work from home so I know what I will wear once I retire

I've learned that we are woefully unprepared for this type of event.

I've learned that we outsource way too many critical items.

I've learned that I need to build a home gym.
