Spent way too much time playing Timesplitters 2 my freshman year in college. I was untouchable playing capture the bag while using the monkey with dual SBP-90s.

Prox mines were by far the best weapons in terms of pissing people off and, therefore, hilarity.

We banned it during the summer months and through the first few weeks of school. That was all they wanted to play, and all I heard was constant screaming and fighting.
We brought it back a month ago, only on weekends and only if they made good grades, had good attitudes and kept up with their chores.
My step son still plays it,but he was never fully punished from it anyways due to one week on one week off.
My youngest might play it for 30 minutes throughout the whole weekend. I think he has learned there are better things to do. I broke a horrible addiction.

My friends played The Facility so often that we all knew every respawn location. So, I’d Place proximity mines in every respawn location. That way, as soon as I managed to pop someone in-game, they’d respawn on top of a mine like 3-4 times in a row and I’d rack up kills super fast. Unfortunately, sometimes it’d backfire hilariously as I’d respawn on top of my own mines over and over again

I only had 3 controllers so I never felt bad.
I'd always bring extra controllers to friends houses just to ensure this never happened against me. Kids today would not know what to do with themselves if they had to all 4 people play on a quadscreen the size of most peoples phone now.

Fortnite was decent for a while but Call of Duty is introducing a Battle Royale that is a lot better. Obviously the kids will still play fortnite since it's more of a kid style game, but hopefully all of the stupid shite that came with it dies out.

Fortnite is just the new one at a time when social media makes it visible to everyone not already playing.
Not to mention Fortnite is free and you can play on a PC, console, or phone. I think the free aspect is a large reason why there are so many kids playing it.

As others posted, the complex was the shite with proximity mines. I'd love to play that game again and see just how bad my hand eye coordination has gotten.
