I'm thinking about taking a trip to Denver this summer. For you guys who have been to Denver, what are some cool places to visit while there and what is the city like in general?

P.S. - I don't plan on smoking pot while visiting Denver, so any of you guys who have that suggestion in mind as something fun to do, please refrain from that particular suggestion lol

It sucks unless you like great weather, great beer, legal and abundant weed, happy people, and the great outdoors.

Catch a ballgame, really cool stadium. If you like live music i would look into the red rocks venue for a show. When i lived there we toured the Coors brewery, fun time. Or drive north on I25 and go to New Belgium brewery. Also lots to do on 16th street downtown, Lucky Strike was one of my top fun spots as well as ESPN zone.

Great breweries
Tons of outdoor stuff to do.
Explore the different neighborhoods and the restaurants/bars.
Catch a Rockies game.

I love Denver. I go once or twice a year for work. I am going in August.

Plenty to do there besides pot....it is a truly bad arse city in a beautiful spot of America. Absolutely breathtaking scenery and laid back atmosphere.

But you need to smoke a doob or two while you are up there, I'm being sincere.

Check out Estes park, near Denver. Red rocks is close so search for a good concert there. The Lodo area has nice rooftop bars, the Denver art museum is bomb as well.

I'm actually going there myself this summer for a show at Red Rocks and an abortion for Mrs. P. It's gonna be great.

You can never have too many friends, too much money or too many abortions.

Take a trip down to Colorado Springs and see the Air Force Academy and chapel, ride the Cog Railway up to Pike's Peak, & visit the Garden of the Gods.

Definitely Red Rocks. Even if you don't go to a concert there, you can go visit it and walk around. It's absolutely gorgeous. Drink lots of water - especially if you've never been in high altitude before.

Denver, itself, is not much different than most major metro areas

the surrounding areas, specifically to the west, are what makes Denver awesome

Its been a while since I've been there. But, there was some bar at a hotel that was notorious for picking up cougars.
