Noory killed that show. He's terrible. Haven't listened in years. Used to love it when Art was hosting.

i will never forgive him for starting Dark Matter on SiriusXM and then just as quickly ending that show. I was pissed. Listened to C2C all the time when i was in high school with a paper route. George SNorry does nothing for me.

Came here to post this. He was run off of Coast To Coast because Premiere Radio Networks didn't like the truth bombs that he was dropping...

IIRC, Art Bell moved to the Philippines, not sure if he's still alive.

This. One of my two favorite shows of the year. The other being New Year predictions. You can catch the classic ghost to ghost shows on youtube.

Romona dying unexpectedly was it for Coast as we knew it with Art. It was never really the same after that. Although I did enjoy his show on Sirius and Dark Matter until he decided to call it quits. I'm still a little ticked about that.

Mad Man Markham, the guy flying into Area 51, JC , the GIS, every ghost to ghost, Bugs, Mel's Hole. I could go on and on about memorable and eventful shows. Art Bell was tGOAT when it came to weaving and illustrating stories over radio. The man could read the phone book and you'd be on the edge of your seat. He was a master interviewer in his prime as well. He will post videos to YouTube on occasion and sometimes give updates on his website. He had a scare a few months back that sent him to the hospital for a while. Seems to be enjoying raising his young daughter.

TuneIn has several streaming stations of nothing but old Art Bell. I listen more than I probably should. I'm listening now actually.

ETA:

What happened to Dave Schrader? He showed some promise and then sort of disappeared.

Not sure if it still is, but it used to be the most listened to radio show in the world. I've never heard of dreamland, but Coast 2 Coast AM is one of the finest show to ever grace the waves.

It's certainly very entertaining late night radio.

Is anyone here a trucker?

I've always wanted to know how truckers used to listen to Art Bell.

Would you memorize the stations that played it in various different areas or would you scan the frequencies for it? My issue with scanning has always been that you could catch it on commercial and not know you missed it.

After Art left Sirius/XM, he waited out his no compete clause and went back on the air with a show called Midnight in the desert. It was a great show and then he claimed someone opened fire on his home one night after a show, so he walked away and left the show to some woman. His listening audience was skeptical and just thought he pulled his same old stunt and just wanted out. He's still in Nevada and recently had a baby boy with his young Phillipino wife.
