Damn. The last bachelor party I was involved with consisted of a strip club, party bus, and blow.
we did a party bus last year, and it was a fricking shitshow. I want nothing to do with that.
cocaine is an option, if someone can get it. I can't though.

Dude, who gets a cheap hooker and a premium STD test? I guess it makes sense but it seems counter intuitive.

Reasonable enough for me. The cheaper you do it the more people that will attend. If you go and do something that's 300 a couple guys will drop out.
I'm guilty as anyone because I went out of town but we were young and guys were living all over the state so it was generally easier to meet up somewhere other than where I was living. But the whole go all out and spend $500 on one person's bach party has gotten out of hand. I tried to do mine as cheap as possible so more people would go.

this was my advice on it. He has a lot of friends that don't have good jobs, like $15.hr type shite. Spending $100 is a lot to ask on top of shower and wedding presents.

If all you're going to do is dinner, concert, drinks, then ask everyone to chip in a certain amount ($10 or so) for the bachelor's nights, and then everyone is on their own other than the concert tickets. Two people can spend vastly different amounts going to dinner and drinks even at the same spots.

$500 per person is pretty reasonable if we're talking 15 guys.

Planning one now. Each person is paying $450

Which town? I would budget at least $75 - $100 for dinner alone.

I agree with this.

he wanted a concert, and bar hopping. This is what we are planning.
So everyone buy their own ticket and pay for their own drinks, and someone different buys the groom a drink each round.
I don't know what you're making this shitty bachelor party out to be a big deal.

Honestly, some of the cheaper bachelor parties my first friends to get married had when were not far out of school and generally poor were some of the best ones. Those were generally in the $100 - $200 range, but that also involved hotels/condos as well.
Last one I did was in a major destination city and involved airfare, hotels, two $100+/person meals, MLB game, clubs, other tours, was close to 1500/person. It was a blast, but it was no where near 10x as much fun as the cheaper ones.
Summary: make sure everyone contributes enough so the bachelor is happy at the end of the night and everyone has fun, you can be frugal, but don't be cheap.

absolutely but that is up to them. If you want to buy laguvulin all night long, well that is up to you. Same thing, if you want the $40 lobster.

Denver. I go out to nice places pretty regularly and I don't spend $75/pp. Granted i don't do fancy steakhouses

I am not, I was curious what a reasonable budget is.
I am thinking its closer to $100, and most of that will go to food. Maybe we will let people opt out of dinner if their budget is an issue.

well I suggested we do vegas or chicago, but the bachelor didn't want to put that on his friends.
I have been to only a handful of bachelor parties, most of my friends didn't have one. I have spent anywhere from $100 to $750. I will have to say the one were we camped and just got drunk was the most fun.

If money is a concern for some, can yall start the day/afternoon at someone's house and just grill, then go out later? If you do that you can probably collect $30 from everyone and have a really awesome bbq for a few hours with good food and tons of booze, then shower up and go out later?
