100% and time/experience allow us to look back and see what was or wasnt a good job.
The only "shite job" I ever had was a sales job and It was because I could not believe in the product.
Every other opportunity has given me knowledge and experience I am truly grateful for. The welding as much as the managing.

Did you get your engineering degree before or after your economics degree?
I never claimed to have either. Youre just illiterate in addition to being a world calls anal retentive.
But I did take drafting in HS, enough to get me in air conditioning which provided another great opportunity while going to school at night.

but why? why would you ever want to get in the AC...I thought according to you and the rest of the OT all the best jobs involved working with you hands for a living?
according to the OT real men drink a 6 pack a day, smoke a pack a day and weld all day....thats the really good jobs. Only a pussy works in the AC all day
so if you had it made...why would you ever give that up? Plus you had the swinging life style going on...sounds like you were living in OT fantasy land.......why would you ever give that up to work in the AC like a pussy?

Actually I didnt, I wanted the extra money that came with it and the opportunity for travel.
I enjoyed working with the fellas in the shop, it was a different time. I was accustomed to August two a day practices, so the heat wasnt the main issue.

Not even close. They do well and can make up to about $200k if they're not traveling but AAs don't make $300k unless they're contract, traveling and working tons of OT

Ain’t no ditch digger making $150k.
I’ll go nurse anesthetist. They can make $150k to $200k or more and don’t even have an MD.
I think most people realize they make good money.
About anything in the medical field pays good because of the bullshite costs associated with everything.

So he says… but he doesn’t do anything else so who knows.

It says:

Everyone knows "good" jobs pay well. What are some that may not be as good, but pay well?

Frick it, I will add a job(two really, but they go hand-in-hand
Industrial NDE and then once you get enough experience API certified inspector.
I do not know if I would call them "good" jobs, but one can make a lot of money and outside of operator, they have the easiest job in the refinery or chem plant or wherever else they may be.
Both do have the chance to become "embedded" but they only work 40 hrs/week. That would be approx $70-80K for techs and about $140-$160K for the APIs.
If they chase the outage circuit, they are gone about 8 months out of each year, but clock a lot of hours. Eight months is about all those guys work. I really do not know what the techs make, but in talking with APIs during outages, they can make $250+ in those 8 months. To do that, they are crawling through the towers, drums and exchangers. That doesn't sound very fun to me. I had to do that earlier in my career and am glad I no longer need to.
Edit to say, my embedded rate may be a bit high. I only know hourly charge rates and am going off of that.

$150k+ working only 40 hrs a week .... you want to ride a unicorn to work everyday as well I suppose?
Yep with 6 weeks PTO and separate sick leave balance.
They aren't unicorn jobs but you need the proper degree
I was making 100K with those benefits at 26 in AK.
Transferred now I make more than that in Coastal MS
