I work in mental health. Stopped seeing new patients for now, and I'm doing as many follow ups by phone as I can until we get telehealth up and running. No plans on stopping or staying home

Telemarketers. During these trying times, those bastards are ramping it up with a vengeance.

Respiratory therapist
Seriously I heard there would be a shortage and they may have to call some out of retirement or fast track some students in school for such.

My guys are exempt in California. We fall under telecommunications infrastructure (data center).

Nursing has been a pretty stable field as far as “essential personnel” demand during catastrophes.
They are reaching out to all retired nurses in my state right now to see if they can come out of retirement to help out. I’ve gotten numerous emails from nursing staffing companies asking me if I can take a travel infection control nursing assignment right now. Basically telling me to name my price and how soon I can start(obviously NOT going that route as I have a job with a retirement plan so staying here until I retire).
Instead of “learn to code” it should be “learn to nurse”

Average nurse makes what...$50k? Maybe $60k with overtime.
I rather be a plumber than have goobers pulling on you all day and cleaning up poop.

On top of that, we all work from home. So, thus far, this really hasn't had any affect on us. We aren't getting new clients at this point (can't really have boots on the ground in new clients facilities), but we also aren't scaled up to bring on new clients, so we don't really have "dead weight" to cut.
Oddly enough, healthcare companies get hit during recessions too. You wouldn't think so, but far fewer people are getting that hip replacement that they could put off for 8 months.

Maybe in the region you live, not here though. Average nurse here probably makes 70-75...and a lot more with overtime. Can easily make 6 figures here as a nurse with overtime.

Selling cars, at least if you’re good enough at it to survive.

My neighbors are night nurses and do pretty damn well only working a few night a week

None of my clients use it, so I haven't been able to play around with it. Glad it's helpful.

Yeah my average was considering new grads and nurses with not a lot of experience and those working in doctor’s offices and other non hospital settings. Nurses with more experience working in a hospital setting likely make 80k on up on average here.

I bought my wife a new suv a week before all this shite went down. Regretting that now

50k? This ain't Mississippi.
I know multiple MS and AL RNs that drive 1 to 3 hours to work full-time in NOLA and the Greater N.O. area to get double to triple (depending on the field) what they get hourly in their home state.

Bankruptcy Attorneys will be fat and away the biggest winners here.

Not yet, but I have a feeling that they are going to try and force us to close soon and work from home.
I'm working from home, but I have full functionality from home. The only holdup is clients who aren't set up to provide things electronically, but we have plenty of clients who are prepared for that so I don't see any drop off before the typical deadline day.
