And no “woke” doesn’t count. Taking a shite at the airport made me think of this. I’m thinking what’s on this toilet seat. I had to think it over coming to the conclusion HIV can’t be transmitted on a toilet.

Something like ALS where your mind is all there and your body betrays you. Gotta be just horrific.

Heart disease and cancer.

Most American males should be concerned with those two unless they already have something else.

Pretty much this. The unknown of both is the worst you could have cancer and not even know you are going to be dead from it in 6 months from now

This.

Having had a family member dying of this before I was even born helps emphasize this, as it means the potential for it is in my genetics.

Stroke because that’s how I’m most likely going to die based on family history.

Some folks should be concerned about a Purge situation if I get a terminal illness. Hard to apply consequences to a guy that won't be around in a few months.

But in all seriousness, some things are not regularly screened for. It can be too late by the time you see symptoms. That's concerning and scary - but you can't let that fear drive your life.

Remember to spend time with your loved ones and enjoy your life sometimes. Smell the roses. Take that trip with your wife. You may not get another chance.

Parkinsons / dementia

I sure hope that inside those people still recognize the people who love them and just can't show it. It's absolutely brutal to see it happen.

ALS ,becoming paralyzed neck down and stroke.
Dementia is bad for the family but at least the victim doesn’t know what’s happening.
COPD is bad also.

Dementia/Alzheimer's

An aunt of mine has this bad now. Always afraid and confused. Looking for people long dead and gets upset when she realizes they are no longer here. Often doesn't recognize her own children and grandchildren. Seems like an awful existence.

My father has MS. Physical, it would be that.

Alzheimer's also runs in my family. Grandmother had that. I'd put that second
