If shite really hits the fan, make a beeline for EPCOT. They have that boring arse ride that was all about farming and you went through some giant room packed with fruits and veggies. Boom...food problem solved!
And you can just walk over to Germany and get some beer. They have to have enough beer for thousands of people on a regular day so it should last you for a few weeks, if you're the last person on Earth.

frick I hope so. No more email or mortgage or stress. Just eating my neighbors off a spit. Finally, relaxation.

I was halfway through a book named One Second After about a EMP attack which fries all electronic equipment in the USA. Chaos ensues.
I stopped reading it halfway through as this stuff started taking off. It was just a bit much to read when I was trying to wind down after a long day at work dealing 10's of 1000's of people working from home and the news bombarding us with news about this virus.
Scary stuff to even contemplate.

Way too early to have any type of discussion a bout that.

I have said multiple times that we are headed into a Lord of the Flies dystopian nightmare. It’s every man for himself. Think Mad Max.

Did you mean chaos ensues or queso ensues? If my future consisted od queso for the foreseeable future, I would settle down.

Civilization is a thin veneer. The beast lies just below the surface. The old gods were ones of thunder and death. Reflections of our baser selves.
Full bellies and occupied minds are all that stand between cooperation and chaos

Maybe if this was Ebola and had a 50% fatality rate this thread would make more sense

Warren Zevon addressed this in 1989:
“Michael Jackson in Disneyland
Don't have to share it with nobody else
Lock the gates, Goofy, take my hand
And lead me through the World of Self
Splendid Isolation
I don't need no one
Splendid Isolation”

In 1906, Alfred Henry Lewis stated, “There are only nine meals between mankind and anarchy.”

It starts with a virus that people just want to go away.
Then it morphs into something that kills a third of the population.
The president dies. 60% of congress (mostly old people) succumb.
Financial systems break down. Money is gone.
Medical facilities cease to operate because the people who work in them have either died or walked away.
Transportation system stops functioning. People are stuck in place and run out of food.
The internet stops working.
The media goes dark.
The power grid, which has already failed on the coasts and been spotty in the interior, finally goes out.
The people who are left find themselves fighting over disappearing resources.
No law enforcement. Rampant crime.
You’re on your own.
Just sayin’.
The Walking Dead is just a TV show.

I’d say more like six.

Not yet this is a warning. If we learn a lesson we will be fine
