What if the Chinese or conquered the world rather than the Europeans

They were certainly more technologically advanced for much of history, had larger cities (big surprise), and during the Ming dynasty embarked on an expedition with a huge armada of ships but then just packed it up and focused inwards instead.
What would the world be like if everything had an Asian influence rather than Western European. Would it be noticeably different and for the better or worse?

Zheng He (Chinese: ??; 1371–1433 or 1435) was a Chinese mariner, explorer, diplomat, fleet admiral, and court eunuch during China's early Ming dynasty. He was originally born as Ma He in a Muslim family, later adopted the conferred surname Zheng from Emperor Yongle.[2] Zheng commanded expeditionary voyages to Southeast Asia, South Asia, Western Asia, and East Africa from 1405 to 1433. His larger ships stretched 120 meters or more in length. These carried hundreds of sailors on four tiers of decks.[3]

The Chinese thought of themselves as the center of the world and everything outside of their borders as barbarians. Sounds familiar actually.

The Chinese thought outsiders were barbaric.
The Greeks thought outsiders were barbaric.
Both thought they were the epicenter.
I think after Zheng He, the Chinese just said "no more". They were well on their way to beating out all of the Columbeses to exploration.

Obviously if Europeans had never conquered the new world, the Indians would still be living in primitive splendor.
:rolls eyes:
Your OP is an interesting point. Someone was going to take over the Americas. What would it be like had those explorers been Chinese?

Asian ancestry themselves, if you accept Beringia. Would they have held up to diseases brought by Chinese explorers because of genetics? We know the effect of European diseases.

1958 defense would’ve been called the “European Bandits”
