It’s been a long time, maybe I’m confusing it with a similar show from the same era. Was definitely way before anybody knew who he was

Did you know Robert Cray was the bass player for Otis Day in Animal House?

The worst kept secret is that Stephen Bishop was "charming guy with guitar."

He was also "show me your nuts" guy in Kentucky Fried Movie

As well as "they broke my watch" Trooper guy in The Blues Brothers

Mick Jagger sang on “You’re So Vain” with Carly Simon.

Bass player on movie Bohemian Rhapsody was the little boy in Jurassic Park.

Also, Danny Noonan’s girlfriend in Caddyshack was the 13 year old molested by the frat boy on the football field in Animal House. Carmine Depesto’s daughter I believe was the character.

The Andy Griffith Show

Skipper from Gilligan's Island was on The Andy Griffith Show once.

He played the character of a farmer from the country, who came to town and met Barnie's girl Thelma Lou, in the presence of Andy, but Barnie wasn't there. He had an instant crush on her and wanted Andy to help set him up on a date with her. He was such a nice guy and very persistent.

To help Thelma Lou save face and not have to turn him down, Andy took the guy under his wing for some private coaching on what to wear and how to act on a date with a city girl like Thelma Lou.

The guy had to ditch his cover-alls and wear a nice suit for the first time, which was very uncomfortable and constraining (esp around the neck/neck tie). Andy proceeded to teach him the finer points of proper manners and refinement, and by the end of the episode, it was just too much for the farmer to handle, and he gave up on pursuing Thelma Lou the city girl.

The End

Many years later, there was that 3-hour tour......
