Yeah I'm in LA and feel "tall" at only 6'. When I go to other cities I get a reality check.
I was the man at the Hollywood clubs at 6"5.....there are so many short frickers out there!

6'2" for men and 5'8" for women.

I consider anything less than 6'3 to be short. And I'm well over 6'3 so I have validation in that line of thinking.

Well 6'5 is going to be tall everywhere except maybe scandanavia!

Yeah I think that 6'2 and 5'8 are the consensus.

Yea 6'2" is "tall" for a guy. 5'8" for a girl. Of course, those are much higher than the actual averages, but that's not what we're discussing.
And yea. The height that most people claim/think they are is like 2 inches taller than their actual height.

In Scottsdale 6 foot IS about the average.
Actually, I would think that the average height in Arizona is a little shorter than the the average height in La because of you guys much larger hispanic population and their average height is a little shorter than blacks and whites so that should pull your average down a little.

I don't know, these southern louisiana men down here are real short. I am 6'1 and always feel like a giant on campus.
Back in HS, I was 5'11 and the exact average in my graduating class of over 300.

"white" people in AZ and "white" people in LA are practically two different races (generalizing, of course).

I have noticed a lot of old dudes are really fricking short. Like a significant percentage are less than 5'6". Maybe that throws it off.

If you're 5'11", that means you're like 6' - 6'1" with shoes on. Either you don't know your real height and you're like 5'9" or you hang out with basketball players.

I'm like 5'11.5 and of course I say 6'.
People in L.A. tell me that I'm tall all the time! I'm like...ok.

I am 6'0-6'1 in shoes. And yes i do hang around with alot of athletes. When you hang around with alot of athletes who are 6'2+ you are going to feel like a midget all the time
