Leaving out of Fort. Lauderdale.
Will all this nonsense be over or will cruising be shelved by the government by then?

Congrats on the coronavirus and premature death mate.

Anyone who claims to have any idea of what any plans will look like 2+ weeks out is full of shite.

Pretty sure most cruise lines are offering refunds right now. Check your ability to do so with whatever company you booked with.

You should probably post this on the travel board.
You are going to end up with the usual stuff about cruises being trashy and how they are floating walmarts, etc.

If I had a cruise scheduled for the end of April, I would probably be in contact with the company/travel agent I purchased from instead of coming to the OT.

It's bad enough people take these cruises in the first place
That they're not jumping on every opportunity to cancel and blowing past CDC warnings in hopes they can still roll the dice in order to go to Castaway Cay and eat unlimited nachos is just something else entirely

Your boat will be filled with $45 a night people.

I’d never get on a floating Petri dish to begin with, but damn sure wouldn’t now.

Not totally accurate. Most lines are making changes to their cancellation policies, offering on board credits for people who don't cancel, allowing guests to move their sailing to another date, etc but most are not just offering refunds without incurring a cost.
OP, which cruise line?
FWIW..I'm sailing on Royal Caribbean out of Port Canaveral in April and as of now, do not plan on cancelling or moving my sailing. We may make adjustments to what we do in-port but we still plan to sail.

Found the guy who takes his wife on a carnival cruise for their anniversary and lets her splurge for the drink package.

You get to be stuck on the boat for a month once one of the 5,000 on board starts running a fever.

You should probably cancel or ask for half your money back to not cancel.
