What happened to whale’s tails?

Did women’s underwear designers get better? I worked at a Destin restaurant in college in early 2000 and it was a nightly if not many times a night we’d see a seated girl with her thong showing above her pants. I can’t think of the last time I’ve seen one?

My god I miss the whale tale in highschool. Honesty probably the biggest confidence booster I ever had. I was in the 9th grade and the girl that sat in front of me in algebra had an incredible arse. She had a whale tail like 4 out of 5 days. One day I could help myself. I reach out and just pop it barely and she turns around. I wink at her, she smiles and she turns back and pulls her whale tail up a little more.
