What happened to the I-10 shooter? It was all over the news and now nothing.

For those who insisted it wasn't a single shooter but rather gang related random shootings, why did they all of a sudden stop?

Personally, I think it was a single shooter and he is dead or in jail for something else.

Good chance a single group was responsible for it and once they got caught, the opposing gangs took care of it themselves.

Because, if you want to get away with it, you have to put time in between each time you shoot.

If the shooter was going out there every weekend, getting caught gets really easy.

If you vanish for a few months and have no pattern as to what you shoot or how long in between each time, you become increasingly hard to catch

It’s very much still happening, just not being publicized. It will all ramp back up on the news after Mardi Gras.

I’m wondering if it’s a serial killer….but I may be giving the assailant(s) too much credit.

I had a buddy that was on this case. It was a specific gang that used this as their preferred way of doing business. They got caught. Doesn’t mean other people / gangs won’t give it a try again.

So they solved a case that had made national news and the police, the D.A. and the politicians didn't hold a single press conference or do a single news release? Riggghhhhtttt.

Believe what you want buddy. It wasn’t the DA or NOPD. You asked a question and I gave you an answer.

Your buddy who was on the case, who does he work for? Were the shootings prosecuted federally, or was this some type of black ops/secret squirrel shite?

For the record: I approve of extra legal activies.

The feds have been in NOLA for the past couple months along with more state police.

A lot of cases are picking up state and federal charges to get some of these guys off the streets. There’s a reason the major crime wave of 21/22 has tapered slightly lower.

I like how posters from Lafayette and God’s Country are questioning you as if they would know more.

What business were they doing? Random people were being shot, regular civilians not gang members as in retaliation.

Seems as though they would be going slower into their jurisdiction

Shooting random people driving down an interstate isn't how any gang is going to conduct any business at all.

Exactly. There is always the "I know a dude" guy on here that "can't talk about it" regardless of the subject.

It's not like the CIA and NSA are after the I-10 shooter. If the ATF or FBI caught the guy there would have been a national level news conference. No one loves a win more than those dudes. Dept of Justice does Press Releases every day, no one is shy of some good press.

And I also love the "believe what you want, I know" lines that people throw out there when trying to prop up an unlikely story.
