What happened to Big Lee's shooter?

The 70 year old neighnor that shot him? Was he convicted? Don't get local NOLA news where I live, so please bring me up to speed on the case.

The shooter is the prime example of what happens when you piss a guy off with NOTHING to lose.
Guy is 78, has COPD, has been treated for lung cancer and requires oxygen.
Translation: HE DOESNT GIVE A FRICK
Imagine for a second the chaos if more elderly people with only a short time to live decided to settle old scores or just decided to bring a gun to a hose fight.
Crazy to think that more people like this don’t commit acts like this.

He is 78 years old, probably takes a bunch of meds.. His mind is likely not as sharp as it was 20 years ago..
Here is this younger guy, who he had been feuding with for 10 years, sprays him with the hose pipe, while he is in his truck. He isn't thinking 100% rational. Everyone has that point where if you push them to, they will react in away that is out of character.
When this Big Lee dude was killed I never saw so many people say so many bad things about one person after they died, like there was when Big Lee died....
So I don't know if you can say he is a complete piece of shite.

Old man tried to sell his house. Couldn't. He tried to rent out his house. As far as I know, he couldn't (I haven't seen any cars there, and I go by multiple times a day). I think his house is a 3br/1ba or something stupid like that.
Big Lee also tried selling his house. I don't think that worked either. There were purple Christmas lights up for the holidays. Concrete is torn up in his driveway where he bled out. I also haven't seen any cars there.
Now, there is a sign up, sort of in between yards, that says there is gonna be a public hearing about something. No idea what though
