10:30 pm and I am listening to a dodge charger peel it’s tires for a good minute. Then tear-off down Bluebonnet or I-10. Other hoodlums roaring their engines off in the distance. Crime everywhere.

This city is more lawless than Tatooine!

The clock strikes half past one,
I hear a Charger peel and run,
Tires screeching, engine done,
Down Bluebonnet, it has begun.

The streets are filled with reckless sound,
The law enforcement is nowhere to be found,
The sirens wail but can't be found,
This city's turning into a lawless town.

Serve papers by day, bust up crime syndicates by night. With the standard breaks in between in accordance with union contracts.

I though EBRSO wasn’t unionized as that was the big hurdle between combining them and BRPD (union) into a merged metro police force like Nashville or Las Vegas.

They may not be. I was just taking liberties to spice things up a bit.

I wonder how much EBRSO and BRPD manpower is wasted trying to figure out who has jurisdiction for certain areas. I know there are places around Bocage where one side of the street is Parish and the other side is City. That's got to consume a lot of time: Someone calls in to report a burglary, and they've first got to decide who is responsible for the address.

Seems to me they ride around alot, waiting for domestic disturbances and traffic accidents. Might be fun now they have those huge laptops in the dash. I'd pull MILFs over all day for random strip search.

The sheriff has jurisdiction everywhere in the Parish, whether its in the city limits or not so it doesn't matter.

Collect your taxes.

Make extra money protecting the parish libraries in unincorporated areas.

Run the parish prison.

They have 7 deputy’s which cover this area which runs from O’Neal all the way to SW part of EBRP.
Most of them stay in the Gardere area.

If we had the City of St George we could put in a City Police force or pay for x amount of coverage.

This is why most neighborhoods pay for a crime prevention district to get more coverage. After paying insurance to have deputies patrol there is not much money left for coverage. You cannot tell Karen’s and Ken’s that.

Years ago 7 deputy’s could cover the area. This area has boomed and there needs to be more coverage.

To solve manpower shortages they need to convert everything over to a metro department controlled by an elected Sheriff. The reason for the metro council is to reduce services like this. These people always say they have a obligation to BR. How about an obligation to the whole parish first!!!

This way you keep mayors and council people from putting a village idiot in as a chief.
