Y’all are brutal. Hit post on accident. Two seconds later catching hell? LoL.
This was all I could find.
One month after a Baton Rouge man died in a model town house fire, there are few details and no answers available surrounding the strange circumstances of his death.
The May 12 fire was ruled an arson by investigators
Carpenter, the deputy director of the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance, was a Baton Rouge High School and LSU graduate, according to his obituary. He spent time as a reporter, an AmeriCorps member, a donor services director and policy director, among other roles.
Carpenter's family did not provide comment.
Fire officials said earlier this month they weren't sure why Carpenter was inside the model home at the time of the blaze.
Robert Combs, a BRFD spokesman, said there was forced entry into the building and investigators aren't sure exactly who started the fire.
I know they found his car hidden around the corner from the fire. Little doubt he set it and didn’t get out of the house but no one seems to have a clue as to why he would do it. Really strange.

This is a story that needs better explanation. Too many questions.

was this guy opposed to the development he apparently set ablaze?

Great question. Is BRAF anti-development? I don’t know enough about them other than they seem to lean Left and operate pretty quietly around town.

He was probably trying to rid Government St of that blight of chitty 70's looking development they built.

What did he know about Hillary Clinton?
Posted on 8/7/20 at 8:45 am to jbgleason
I just read an article that said his body was found OUTSIDE of the house, in the back yard.

My guess is that BRAF is against any development they don’t get a piece of in some way.

BRAF? You think they give a shite about this piddling little development on Govmt? LOL

There is probably was more to the story.
Out of sight out of mind.

BRAF
Don't get me started...
they're executive director is the second highest paid community foundation director in the country, between Boston and silicon valley! they have a monopoly on the nonprofit dollars here, and they hate competition. They are king makers or kingdom destroyers, depending on whether you oppose them or not. They still smaller non-profits good ideas and make them their own. They have destroyed the portfolio that put them on the map in the first place. They have become extremely political, in their politics slant far to the left of many of their big donors, some of whom they have sued.
If anybody would like links, I am glad to provide...

I thought he blew himself up trying to burn down the unit for insurance money

I don't know about that. He wasn't the owner, a couple local architects are. Sure it's possible that he was paid to burn it down but having worked on remodels and additions in the area I know there are plenty of unoccupied houses that have evidence of homeless living in them.
I'm leaning toward him startling a homeless person and the fire being a cover up for a murder but definitely entertain the possibility of a gay hookup gown wrong.
I'd put insurance fraud behind both of those.
