colonial times, leading up to the revolution, has always interested me the most. if I could take a time machine back to one time in history, I'd go back to around 1770.
the Wild West, more specifically post civil war, is also fascinating to me.
I've never been interested much in world history (outside of the US) for some reason.

Lots of people in this thread really want to die of exotic diseases or be killed in battle.
I'll take the 80's. I liked them the first time around. Why not go back?

I'd like to have been a fly on the wall for the end of the Nixon White House or the wranglings of Henry VIII's disestablishment of Roman Catholicism in England, Wales, Scotland & Ireland.
To have been an actual party in either scenario would have, in one case, tarred you for the rest of your life or, in the other, probably ended your life.
Parts of WWII would have been interesting first-hand, maybe Yalta & Tehran. Otherwise, too much killing goin' on up in there.

US: Antebellum South
World: British India. Realize that over a decade before the American Revolution, the brits were fighting battles in India with elephants and shite.
