I think we can all agree that here in the US we have come to an impasse and, in some cases, actually reversing what's made America so special. How do you think another world war would effect the US?

even more great men will be dead and never able to reproduce or have a family due to their death in fighting a war for their "greatest ally". their "greatest ally" that literally wants them dead.

I can't even think about it.

We would witness the greatest melt in human history. The backlash from Vietnam would pale in comparison.

If anything got to the scale of another world war, just about everyone's society is going to be fricked. There won't be anyone in good enough shape to help anyone else rebuild and recover like the U.S. did for Europe and Japan. Super slow recovery, if any recovery at all.

When Taliban backed Al Qaeda attacked the US on 9/11, pretty much the entire country supported the war in Afghanistan.

I think if there is another attack, our nation will rise to the occasion just as it has for 241 years

Skynet.

quote:

Artificial intelligence (AI) could lead to shorter work days and work weeks, but it could also be the cause of World War III, Alibaba CEO Jack Ma told CNBC in an interview on Wednesday.

..."I think in the next 30 years, people only work four hours a day and maybe four days a week," Ma told CNC.

...The first two World Wars were caused by technological revolutions, Ma said in the interview. Technologies like AI and machine learning will begin to eliminate more jobs, causing the third technology revolution, which "may cause the Third World War," Ma noted.

Nuclear war brings nuclear winter.
No crops.

Survivalists survive.

We should send the SJW and snowflakes in first to talk to the enemy.

We can use their deaths to determine what new weapons the enemy has before we send in the real soldiers.

Hopefully, we put all of these idiots that complain about hardships and discrimination on the front lines, so they can see what real hardship is like.

The ones who survive will come back with a different outlook on society.

A legit war with massive fatalities requiring a draft and mass volunteering in this day and age would be one humongous step towards "idiocracy" in my opinion. Would result in a situation that resembled the fall of the Roman empire because of the even larger gap in wealth/power created when you consider most of the people fighting would be middle-class and up (excluding most of the top 5% probably) and the poor/people without means to fend for themselves/people living off the government dime will get a pass somewhow and be safe. The top 5% will be spared to continue running the major corporations and will be the ones making fat stacks off of the war, also. Eliminating the majority of the middle-class these days would set us back a few decades.

ETA: A draft will never happen again though, much less a war that had any semblance of older war unless we were talking civil war.
