Never know, work 3 days a week 12-13 hours... usually bring one of my sons to school by 7:30, get to work by 8. Right now see mostly Covid patients in am til we run out of tests, sometimes have heart attack, stroke, appendicitis, cancer patients, you name it, I never know. Guess that’s the main reason I do it is never have same day twice...Tired of Covid though and some people can suck

Fire dept- drill, make sure everyone does daily routines, they checks fire trucks, rescue, and ambulances. Pre fire plans, they do evening cleanups, obviously go on runs. Depending on station average is 10-12 calls in 24 hour shift, some stations a tad more.
Windshield- clean tools once a week for repairs, check inventory for replacements, check dates 3-4 times a week on primers and urethane. I love repairs much more than replacements

Wake up around 7. Shower then come downstairs and check emails and answer phone calls until 10 or so. Work on misc stuff until lunch but mostly read TD.com. Eat and nap maybe watch some TV or a movie. Start working again around 3 until about 5 or 6. Go walking with the wife then eat dinner and hop back on emails around 10 PM and work for an hour or so to get ready for the next day.
I have worked from home for years now and my routine changes depending on a few factors but I probably actually work like 4 or 5 hours per day. It's just spread out. I have 4 direct assistants and a few other people that do a lot of the heavy lifting so, to be honest, I could probably do even less and there are periods that I have. I was supposed to be in Europe for the whole month of August (thanks COVID) and had no intention of working while there outside of checking in from time to time.
To be fair, there was a period of about 3 years where I seemed to work 24/7 while building the business and I anticipate next year will have my industry very busy again to where I will double my individual workload.

Log in around 7:15 and then I just sort of space out for an hour. It looks like I'm working though.
Then meeting, call, meeting, call, call, call, meeting. I try to do a little bit of actual work in between these. Someone will come by my desk or message me on Teams about 30 times per day when I'm in the middle of doing something.
Sign out about 4:30-4:45. Usually get called after I've signed out for the day and have to sign back in to look at something.
I get paid pretty well though and have good benefits. When the last kid is out of the house I'll probably go do some consulting instead.

No average day.
With email on your phone, though, the workday really never ends.

I don't know how some of y'all work from 6 or 7am until 6 or 7pm. shite on that. You can call that lazy but I've got a life to live.

I stopped checking mine after hours years ago. It's quite liberating. People at work will ask "did you read that email I sent you on Saturday?". Yep, on Monday morning I read it.

Get to work and get a snarky email from my boss within 10 minutes. Dread through the rest of the day. Look forward to Friday’s. Repeat

Wake up whenever, almost always predawn (today it was at 4:44 am).
Run outside at least a 5k (this year I have perfect attendance so far)
shite, shower, shave and off to work.
Bounce around between the office, locations, and meeting associates for breakfast or lunch.
Head home whenever I want, usually 3:00-4:00-ish.
Mrs Füt has been working exclusively from home since early March, I used to go home sometimes in the day but the blush is off that rose.

I prefer it. Most weeknights, I’m at home alone doing nothing. So I would much rather take care of something from my recliner then, and then be able to sleep in the next morning.
Basically, the work I do on nights and weekends is what enables me to do long lunches or early happy hours sometimes.
Now, if I had to work 7:30-5 under someone’s watch, I likely wouldn’t be so quick to work on nights/weekends. I do it willingly because I acknowledge that it frees up the day for me.

Oh. You one of those people that “wake up early to start the day” then spend 3 hours fricking off. I wake up 7am and still accomplish the same things by 9am.
I do CrossFit in the morning and I like the people in the 5 am class more than the ones in 6 & 7
