It looks like the White House in 2025.

The Russian mob is alive and well in South Florida. Mostly money laundering and other financial crimes.

A nefarious call center in Nigeria fleecing purple haired old ladies of their SS money with dubious AI avatars with granny’s grandkid voices.

Senior citizens eating lunch meats don't need to be monitored baw.
Mind ya business.

If you are talking Sicilian mob, they've been decimated by RICO and the rats. They are more like a social club than anything else nowadays. The only information that I heard is that they are heavily into stock scams, charity scams....like the whole Fraternal Order of Police scams, etc. Some of the smarter ones, have become something along the likes of Crime Concierge 's wherein they are facilitators, like putting together cartel types with Russian very, etc....sort of like, " Hey, I know a guy" I'll set up a meet, broker a sit down....for that, maybe you pay me a couple of points.

The government got rid of their competition about 20 years ago. Then brought in the new generation called non profits tied to social justice

Nadu talks about the mob's current issues. I prefer OC Shortz, as he likes to focus more on the old days. I really enjoy the stories about the old timers and what it was like in the golden era of the Mafia in the 1950's and 1960's.

I was working as a photographer in the early 90's. One of the sales people messed this guy's order up. Back then being young and stupid, I didn't scare easily. But this dude comes in right out of mafia casting. Heavy New York accent and was huge and pissed. One of the few times I used common sense and said what ever made him happy.
My mom told me of a time when her cousin got involved in the life in the 50's. More of a hang around guy. And of course he got wacked.

I was there and saw it with my own eyes. But I can't believe we were living like a bunch of fools less than 5 years ago.

Yep, they predicted this in The Sopranos when Pat Parisi and someone else tried to offer protection to a Starbucks.(I think it was a Starbucks, could’ve been a different corporation)
I love the podcasts. Mike Franzese, Sammy Gravano, Joey Merlino, all super interesting first hand accounts of mob life. The comments are fun too. People calling them rats, except Joey Merlino. That guy didn’t give up anything from what I can tell.

The government is the mafia. 20-30 years ago they sent guys to jail fior long stretches for things that are legal now. . Gambling, numbers racket (which is just a neighborhood lottery) lending money…etc. freaking credit cards charge higher interest rates than Shylock ever did. It’s all “legal” as long as Don Government gets its tax money.
