What does baw stand for

I see this all the time here. I’m almost convinced the “w” means white, but I can’t figure out the b and the a.
Does it have something to do with AlaBama?

I don't know...but I learned if you call someone "Boy" in Maryland you mind as well used the N* word. They claim it's racist. I was shocked...
I can't tell how many times I told some one "Hey boy...don't do that" or "Hey boy, come here". No racial connotations in my meaning at all...but yet it became racial....

Um. The Pizza Hut at 4343 Nicholson in the 90s was run by a big black guy from my neighborhood. If you ever called him 'boy', you were gonna be in a fight.
That's not just Maryland.
