I can relate...
I have 2 children, and I have a business that zaps my joy and energy too many times...
I need to learn how to get my joy back... I should be grateful and happy but whew, that's easier said than living it out
I hate that I get negative so easily. I know I should think differently but it's like is a bad habit I can't shake.
Inner peace is what I desire, to feel free of worry and just live...and enjoy my peeps

volcano
I live in the shadow of one in Northern CA.
I read once that the last time it blew it blew its top off.
I lived even closer to the one in Marin. My daughter's high school was named after it. It looms behind Mill Valley. Mt Tamalpais. Freaked me out.

Right now I’m a little worried about the police sirens and helicopter overhead.

I don’t worry. Worrying is wasteful. Plan and prepare what you can.

Cancer. By 2040 half the population will be diagnosed at least once in their lives if they make it past 65.

Where to begin?
1. I'm moving to Vermont in a couple of months for work and scared shitless.
2. Just got promoted at work and concerned if I'm cutting it as a manager.
3. If I've got enough money saved up to be financially stable on my own.

I agree we all have problems but the question is what we do to face those problems.
I don’t worry. Ever. About anything.
I am certainly blessed beyond measure but I am also very calculated in how I make all my relational and financial decisions. I put everyone’s needs in front of my own and strive to make every relationship stronger every year.
It’s given me a tremendous “margin” in every area of my life so I don’t have to worry about the small stuff.
I am just as likely as anyone else to have the big stuff happen to me - like a parent with cancer or family/friend death. However, that is where my relationship with God prevents worry.

I worry about losing my job at my age and how difficult it would be to find another job making a similar wage.
