What do you use to keep your pipes clear?

Noticed bathroom sink was draining slowly so pulled pipes this morning & washed a bunch of gunk out of them. You guys have any tricks or methods you use to keep the pipes clean?

Drano would have to be made to remain in the pipe long enough for it to soak into the build up for it to help any. Drano just drains right through and accomplishes nothing.
