What do you think of people who hold up the elevator to go up 1 floor?

Every morning I take the elevator to go up over a dozen floors. More often than not, right before we are set to leave the ground floor, we are held up by someone just going up one floor. Especially when the elevator is already packed and a person(s) is squeezing in just to go up 1 floor.

Unless there is a foot arthritis epidemic I’m not aware of?

Why is your time any more valuable than their time?

Feel like it depends.

If it’s my office building I work in every day? Yeah I’m probably familiar with the stairs and will take them.

But if it’s a hotel or somewhere I’ve never been, I’m not walking around searching for the stairs when the elevator is prominently in the middle of the room. Especially if I have 4 pieces of luggage attached to me.

Agree with this one. What's the story on the stairs? I know some buildings don't allow access to the stairs from the first floor to allow them to be free from traffic in the event of an emergency.

Why do you even care if they use the elevator to go to the first floor? Maybe they have some kind of physical issues when it comes to climbing stairs. Maybe you should stop bitching that them and just take the stairs yourself.

Yeah he's going up five floors I wonder if he ever gets off at the 4th and just takes the stairs for the last flight?

I bet he has bad breath.

My dad walks with a cane due to severe spinal stenosis. He can't use stairs. I'm all for calling out the lazy and fat, but a lot of people have legit disabilities and you can't always tell by looking at them.

In some places, the elevators are right in the lobby, and the stairs are far away. It still pisses me off though

I'm good with it if they need it, I'm not good with someone perfectly healthy enough to walk up one flight of stairs doing it.

Get there 15 minutes earlier. Problem solve. Of course, your bosses coffee will get cold.
