Sounds like you should probably stop going out to eat. Between this experience and being asked to pull forward at the Mc D’s drive-thru yesterday, you clearly have some awful luck.

This is why you should choose to sit and eat at the bar rather than a table. At the bar, the server/bartender cant escape your gaze. Sitting at a bar to eat in a restaurant puts the bartender in a culinary panopticon.

You guys are all wrong.
When the next server other than yours walks by stick your leg out and trip him. Then go to help them up and immediately start repeating “I’m so sorry! I was getting up to go find my server so she could bring my check, it was just taking forever! “
It may not get your check quicker, but that server will never do it to anyone else again and I’m sure all the servers in the restaurant will be more cognizant in the future

Just say, L'addition, s'il vous plaît.
Sometimes I have to say it three or four times at Chilis, but they figure it out eventually.

but muh, TD declares that all servers deserve 20% tip or your an idiot

Had this happen recently. Food done, drinks done. No server.
Fifteen minutes she drops off the check. She didn't take my card even as it was in my hand.
We waited another ten minutes.
I got up, went by the point of sale machines until someone told me I couldn't be there. Then said "can you run this" the other server did. Then I saw my server had a 12 top of African Americans, so I left her 25% and said "it's Ok" when she apologized.
Freaking let the kids pick Chili's.
Lol

This has happened to me a few times. I’ve scrounged together what I’d hoped was enough cash and just left it there. I’ve run down other wait staff, I’ve gone to the bar.
He’s either outside smoking or has just seated another table and you’ve taken a back seat.
